Tasting Notes

Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG gives out elegant fruity and leather aromas. On the palate, the tannins are smooth and pleasant, almost velvety with medium-high acidity. The wine layers your mouth with notes of dark red plum and cherry, tart raspberry, and hints of pepper.

Food Pairing

This intense and smooth wine pairs well with beef, pork, veal and even pizza. The strong and complex characteristics of the wine compliments the savory, silky favor the these dishes.

Chianti “Classico” can only be made in one of the four communes in Tuscany, between the city of Florence and Siena. Fior di Vino is made in the commune of Castellina in Chianti on the Siennese hills. 

The “Gallo Nero” (black rooster) seal guarantees Fior di Vino Chianti Classico Riserva has passed strict taste tests adopted by the Chianti consortium “Consorzio del Chianti Classico”  

Riserva indicates that the wine was aged in the barrel for (24 months) and 3 months in bottle.
